Tax Free Weekend usually occurs before school starts so that parents can save money when buying their children Back-to-School clothes and supplies. It’s a great to save money shopping during this time, but people tend to get too involve in the hype and over spend. But with a little bit of planning and research, you will be able to get the most out of your dollar and still have fun!

Here are 5 tips to get the most out of Tax Free Weekend:

1. Do Your Research. Every state has different rules for which items qualify for the savings. In Texas, clothing, footwear, and backpacks under $100 qualify for tax exemption. 2. Beat the Crowd. Many stores will extend their hours during this weekend to accommodate people’s schedules. Take advantage of this and shop during extended hours when crowds aren’t so big.
